Just wanted to say Hi to all the first Gen guys. I'm a present owner of a 2nd gen Intrepid but recently purchased a 1995 Intrepid with the 3.5 liter to use as my commuting car. Now I have the best of both worlds.

I also need a second car for work now, and had considered a first gen intrepid, but thought people might think I was way too obsessed with intrepids ;)

I think I'm just going to get an older Jeep Cherokee Laredo (the boxy ones). I'm thinking between the years 1987-1989. A couple of my friends have those and they still run really good :)

get a metro or a civic or something that doesn't waste gas like an intrepid. then when it breaks just get a new one.

my aunt had an old bronc II, it wasn't a half bad little truck, and she treated it like piss.

if you want a vehicle such as this though i'd have to go with the lift-top k5 blazer, circa 85 or 86. i got a buddy with such a beast with a 305, headers, some nascar rims ($20 bucks apiece, you can't beat that) and a host of other crap...very cool truck, plus that 80s chevy reliability and resale.

Ford Bronco (not hte II) awesome truck, removeable top, pretty good gas mileage for with the 351, which has always been a reliable and economical V8. They made Bronc's up till 1996.

Have you seen American Pie 2? The trucks the guys drive to the lake house with is a Bronco.

Lets not forget O.J. 's transportation of choice. :)

Actually the Cherokee is a good choice, the old AMC 4.0 inline 6 will run forever, and ever. and ever. :)

I wish I had the money to get onther DI. I just bought a 2nd car just for work too. I bought a 89 Mazda MX6 for only $1500. No dents, good interior, nice little intake and a working sliding moonroof.
