I also need a second car for work now, and had considered a first gen intrepid, but thought people might think I was way too obsessed with intrepids 
I think I'm just going to get an older Jeep Cherokee Laredo (the boxy ones). I'm thinking between the years 1987-1989. A couple of my friends have those and they still run really good

Well, I've always wanted an older Cherokee anyways, and this is a reason to buy one.
Also, I'm going to have to carry around a lot of monitors and PC's, so I need something with a lot of room

its cheap...uh...the rear windows come off for a T-top feel....uh.........its.....brown.
and its got as much body roll as a suzuki samurai......

my aunt had an old bronc II, it wasn't a half bad little truck, and she treated it like piss.
if you want a vehicle such as this though i'd have to go with the lift-top k5 blazer, circa 85 or 86. i got a buddy with such a beast with a 305, headers, some nascar rims ($20 bucks apiece, you can't beat that) and a host of other crap...very cool truck, plus that 80s chevy reliability and resale.

BTW, I won't touch GM with a 10-foot pole...
Ford Bronco (not hte II) awesome truck, removeable top, pretty good gas mileage for with the 351, which has always been a reliable and economical V8. They made Bronc's up till 1996.
Have you seen American Pie 2? The trucks the guys drive to the lake house with is a Bronco.

I wish I had the money to get onther DI. I just bought a 2nd car just for work too. I bought a 89 Mazda MX6 for only $1500. No dents, good interior, nice little intake and a working sliding moonroof.
