This is the 1997 Intrepid I traded a Digital camera for.

I've already replaced the headlights and it is getting new inner tie rod end bushings and sub-frame bushings next week, just so I don't have to worry about them later.

In the spring I will work on fixing the paint and other cosmetic things that need to be taken care of. I found a company called NMB paints in miami fla that will custom mix touchup paint for any vehicle and put it into spray cans for a very reasonable price if anyone ever has trouble finding paint to match theirs.

A Nikon COOLPIX-P90 that I had paid $450,00 for a bit over a year ago. I rarely ever used it and I still have my 35mm kit so I really don't miss it that much.

It has the 3.5 and it had the infinity sound system in it. Finding out about that was how I found this forum so the pain in the butt it caused me installing my stereo was worth it in the end.

It has the rear spoiler too, and that was a huge feature in making the trade, I always wanted an intrepid with the rear spoiler.

When I first got it, I thought it was going to be a major project to get it road worthy, but it turns out that the previous owner was an idiot.

He told me it needed new struts, it just needed a new tire because the front passenger side tire had lost its balance weight.
He told me it needed a new EGR valve, it just needed a new oxygen sensor which took 3 minutes to replace.

He said it needed a new starter, but it turns out that it was just a loose connection of the ground terminal on the battery. (Discovered that after disconnecting the ground to reset the computer after the O2 sensor replacement.)

It was running a bit rough when I got it. Turns out that no one apparently has ever changed the air filter. The filter was so black that it absorbed light, as soon as it was changed it purred like a kitten.

To give you an idea of how good the engine sounds now, at 60-70 miles an hour, I turn the stereo off, and listen to the engine because it sounds so freaking awesome. (Someone took the resonator out and that gives it a bad ass performance car sound at those speeds )

One of the best features of all that I found in it, I had mentioned in a previous post was the $527.00 in cash under the rear seat and the 9mm Ruger pistol. (Cops have the gun now)

I got the car in a really bad area of Camden, New Jersey which is about an hour from where I live.

For the moment mostly clean it up and get the body and all of the mechanicals up to snuff, which is mostly maintenance stuff, except for a bit of rust and the standard paint peel that will be dealt with in the spring.

I am looking at air breathers though, just trying to decide where I want that small boost in performance to come in at.

I was considering some after market front and rear bumpers for it, but it is to early to decide on which.
That's all stuff for the spring

It will stay the factory color if i do replace the bumpers, I already know a place where i can get the right paint for that.

Anything after that will depend on what items I run into that I think will go well with it.
