Beleive it or not I can read! :) I am always looking for stuff to read... I have heaps of Motor related books, but I picked one up at a Junk sale today called "Automotive Engines, Theory & Servicing by Ellinger & Halderman".

I just cant put this book down, its looks like its the Zero to Hero of getting you smart on engines.. It takes you from the very basics to the more advanced topics i.e Computer interaction with the engine and the sensors it uses and how they play there part.

If your shy about taking some of your motor apart I would recommend this book to ya... Even if your a god at Motors you might learn something...

Well there ends my book review.. .Next week
I review and practice "The fun of 2 girls and
a Trep" :p

Totally different book, but I just finished reading the autobiography of Lee Iacocca, defintely a good read. It is a little old, so it has no perspective on the current Chrylser issues, but still good.

I am now starting "Taken for a Ride: How Daimler Benz Drove Off With Chrylser"

It goes into detail about all the crap that went on with the takeover. Looks good, I'll let you know how it is when I'm done with it (gimme about a week)

Just to let you know, I'm almost done reading "Taken for a Ride: How Daimler drove off with Chrysler"

If any of you have the weird hobby like me of reading about the behind the scenes stuff with big businesses, I defintely recommend this book.

It goes into detail about the failed buyout attempt by Kerkorkian and Iaccoca and how that laid the groundwork for Chrysler basically looking for protection from a stronger company.

Chrysler gave up so much in the merger...it's amazing....the Germans almost canceled the whole deal at the last minute, because Chrysler wanted to call the company "Chrysler-Daimler" The Germans insisted that the Daimler name had to come first. A multi-billion dollar deal was almost flushed because of egos.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through, I'm pretty sure I'm getting close to the disolving of Plymouth. I really am interested if that idea came from Stuttgart or Auburn Hills...I'll keep you posted.

"Two Thumbs up!" raves Intrepidatious!

Intrepidaious,

I think I`ll get that book from the library,
I am not really into the Big Business behind the scene stuff, but its Chrysler and it sounds VERY intresting...

My books are usually either about Engines :) or History (WW2) and obviously my trade and geek stuff :) Gotta get around to selling ..
