Well I didnt buy the car, but I did all of the negotiating. The DjPiLL family now owns two DC cars as my father bought a 2002 bright silver 300M. This was factory ordered so he wont get it till November probably.

Ill have to take some father & son pictures of my R/T and his 300M. :)

Now I just have to convince him to race me. Hahahaha. Just gotta make sure my mom doesnt find out. Hehehe.

He didn't get the special... even though the special does look f'in sweet. Ive been browsing the web, and it seems that a lot of people do not like the 2-tone on the Special. Wanna hear something even more f'ed up? After we wrote up the deal, my father asked our salesman about the Special... and he was like "What special?" The 18" wheels on the special looks real sweet though in the book. The special is also lowered an inch compared to the base.

He didnt even know the 2002 300M has two trim lines. Can you believe that?

Im sure the special would have been at least a few thousand more than the base 300M... based on all the improvements it has. The salesman didnt seem eager to sell the remaining 2001 models he had in stock for under invoice... the best deal he would have gave us was a black 2001 for invoice price. It had all the trimmings except for the luxury package.

The 2002 model we ended up getting was actually cheaper than the 2001 at invoice, mainly because we did not get the chrome wheels. Sorry to say I am not a fan of chrome wheels at all, its just not my taste and I guess that rubbed off on my father. Yeah the chrome looks decent on a black car, but on a silver one... nah.

Well in the end he got a bright silver 2002 model with the 11 speaker infinity system, sunroof, cold weather, and full spare. My mother was way against the luxury package because she hated the wood on the steering wheel. She is very old fashioned and said having wood on the steering wheel made it seem like your driving a tugboat. :) But then again she also says having the shifter on the ground instead of attached to the steering wheel makes it seem like your driving in the indy 500. :)

Final price... $27950... Not a bad deal for a 300M. I probably could have gotten him a little lower, but my father didnt want to nitpick... and we bought this 300m from the same salesman i was considering when i got my R/T. And its also the same parent dealership that I got my R/T from... so me and my father will both be getting our service from the same place. I already know the service department is good, based on that little problem i had with my starter on my R/T back in June.

I have one other question... I think the 2002 models overhead console now gives you tire PSI on all the wheels. I saw it in the 300m book. Is this the console on the base 300m? With a luxury package? Or with the special?

Also and most importantly, can i add this "newer" console to my intrepid R/T and get all the features? Where can I get one? Parts department?

Thanks in advance.

Ok well if thats the case... maybe ill just get the standard console then. :)

Is this something that can be ordered through a parts department, or do i have to look at a junkyard?
