Driving along the other day in my 1995 Dodge Intrepid 3.3T with Auto and no ABS. Pushed on the brake pedal and heard a slight noise. The brakes applied but would not release. Now it feels like the brakes are on all the time and won't release. Pedal flops up and down like it's not connected and brake lights will not go out. Crawled under the car and can't find anything unusual looking. HELP. This is my get to work car!

Jacked up all four wheels and all seem to have about the same tension on them so I don't THINK any one is locked

Pulled the master cylinder and started the car. The pushrod coming out of the booster immediate extended to full out position. Is this definately a bad booster or is there some other part that could cause this like a booster check valve or something. Where is the brake light switch on this thing I had to pull the fuse to make the lights go out.
