I don't know a whole lot about cars....had all 4 brake pads replaced a couple of weeks ago, and immediately my car ('03 Intrepid) started making a rubbing sound when the brakes are applied and now it has started squeaking occassionally as well. I took the car back to the place that did the work and the gentleman said it sounded like my bushings (he also mentioned Intrepids and Concords were bad for that?). He asked me to bring it back and leave it with them so they could take the wheels off and "invistiage". He did say if they caused the damage they would repair it at no charge. Is it possible that they could have messed up my bushings while changing the brake pads or was this a coincidence? The car has 65K miles and this is the first brake work I have had done. Any advice or insight out there?
