According to Jayski, Kurt Busch has signed to drive the Miller Lite Dodge for '07, and is trying to get out of his contract for '06. Puts Roush in the same boat as Ganassi with McMurry signed for '07.

Can't say that I'm happy with this move, as I have been a big fan of Rusty over the years, but don't care for Busch at all.

I hate that squirrel faced prick (busch)...gives me more of a reason to hate the Number 2 car. I have never liked rusty wallace, and now will have even more of a reason.

I can't stand him either but he will win some races. Wonder if Rousch will let him go as well as McMurray.

(below) I wonder if elf boy goes to the #2 then maybe Kenseth will go to the #40 ?
This was on Jayski's too:

# Kenseth and Penske? Rumors persist that Roush Racing's Matt Kenseth is the top choice to replace Rusty Wallace, who's retiring, in the #2 Penske Racing car. Sources say Kenseth is sponsor Miller Brewing Co.'s first choice. Plus, Kenseth and his wife, Katie, are good friends of Penske driver Ryan Newman.(Sporting News)
BUT: ....there were reports yesterday that Roger Penske had indeed approached Jack Roush with an offer of some sort for Kenseth, but that Roush had dismissed it out of hand. Penske continues to decline comment on his driver search. Is Kenseth's contract for sale? "Absolutely not," Roush Racing's Geoff Smith said. However, Smith said he hasn't had an opportunity yet to talk with Kenseth about the Penske report. "I've been traveling around on sponsorship business, and I've been trying to track him down to ask him," Smith said. Smith says he's confident that Kenseth will remain with Roush: "Matt is very happy about being at Roush Racing, and we've had some discussions about going forward." Kenseth's contract with Roush runs through the end of 2006, and Smith says he is working on a long-term renewal. Penske is down to two men in his search for a driver to replace Rusty Wallace next season. Penske will make his announcement by Sept. 1.(Winston Salem Journal), also hearing it could be Busch, but he is signed thru 2006.(8-8-2005)

I wonder what made Busch want to leave Rousch. He' already won a championship and Rousch guided him through the truck series up to the cup series. I'm not so sure I'd be willing to leave at this point in his career. So much for loyalty eh ?

Rousch racing stated yesterday that they will not let Busch out of his contract for next season.
Jack today said his heart is telling him to let Bush go(on NASCAR this morning). The sponsers will decide his future. Send to bum to Dodge now.

Actually I'd let Busch and McMurray go. Too many chances for someone to get the 'wrong idea' if they had a bad race or somehow lost their position in a race to the competition that they'll be driving for the next year.

screw loyalty in nascar - its just like the nfl or any thing else. its all about the benjamins. you'd leave too if they offered you a couple more million.

i just dont like the doofy lookin busch boys. sure ok - they seem to be able to drive
(or is it the rousch cars?), do they have any fans? any sponsorship appeal? does seeing busch make you want to buy some miller lite. nahh.... i'd rather watch watch him get slugged in the face by spencer again . its too bad this little loser is going to be driving dodge. messes up the dodge image imo.

Greg Biffle is best Roush Racing driver this year, Carl Edwards will be one of the best soon, so Kurt Busch is not main driver anymore. I wouldn't let him go yet because Mark Martin is leaving after this season, so it would be tough to lose 2 drivers in just one season.

GO ROUSH.
