Is there any difference in the oem front struts across the 2nd gen model years? Are they all plug 'n' play, or do certain model years require a specific part # suffix? About to score a set labeled as 1999-2000, just want to make sure I won't have any fitment issues. Thanks :D

Hi there...

It is my understanding that all the 2G's are compatible. The only differences is the R/T package had a bit stiffer shocks as I understand it.

I got the "high end" NAPA ones for my 2001 ES... and would say that I prefer the OEM's over them. The NAPA's are terrible in the cold for the first 5 miles or so... VERY stiff until they warm up. Afterwards though, they do offer a much sportier ride. Since my 'trep is generally a daily driver, it just gets annoying having to deal with the super stiffness for the first few miles.

Hope this helps,
Scott

They're all interchangeable within the 2nd Gen LH bodies with different characteristics between trims (like stifness in the RT and Special 300 and softer in Base )
