Looking to swap out the trans for an '02 intrepid ES with 3.5L engine. Anyone know of a good source for a rebuilt/remanufactured trans?

You can get a trans from your local Automotive Scrap Yard, and rebuild it yourself, or find that the scrapyard already rebuilt it for you.

well you can buy them from auto part stores and pay out the ass. Find a local machine shop and see if they can do it.(will still probably cost $350+) Or you can just pick up another used transmission from a salvage yard. Check Car-Part.com for local ones near you!

used trans FTW. lower mileage trans from dead 2.7L are plentiful and cheap.

^I wish it wasn't true but it is. Supply & Demand states that the supply is too high!!

yep.. find a 02 or newer suggest a TrepSE 2.7,, better gearing,,,

I paid like 129.00 for mine like 6 years ago,, from pull a part,,

also some salvage yards will even give you a warranty on the transmission they sell you as well.
