So, I'm just gonna make a quick contribution on My experience, not that anybody's gonna need it, but I thought it was a fascinating, almost unbelievable experience... It probably won't be the case for everybody. Especially when Your engine is running healthy strong with none of this type of issue.

I had reported in the past about My 176K 2.7 Trep burning oil and Forming Yellowish Milky deposits in and around the Intake and vacuum lines, I never knew quite where it was coming from. When I initially got the car, it had built up so much & for and for so long that It clogged up the passenger side valve cover vent tube to intake Airbox Hose and tons more of It inside the airbox and throttle body and just generally all over the intake... But surprisingly not inside the engine, It was on the Oil fill cover too and everywhere that it could settle on...

When I initially reported this situation, Most of the suggestions that I got was to change the PCV valve, which I did, But the Milky Yellowish deposits continued, it even started fowling the new PCV valve that I had just installed. I was baffled. At the time I still didn't know exactly where the Nasty stuff was coming from.. So I started digging N poking around and found that it was mainly coming from the left/drivers side valve cover vent tube (which Inter-connects with the Heat exchanger and then ends up at the PCV valve)
So, I unplugged it from the Heat exchanger side and drove the car with it disconnected and noticed it Just oozing out from that tube/hose (the Valve cover hose/tube) I knew that wasn't good for the Car at all. Then I thought long & hard how can I separate these 2 players (which btw, I arguably think is a stupid idea/design anyway: - interconnecting coolant heat with crankcase fumes)

Anyway, then I remembered I had purchased 2 Cheap catch cans few Years ago and never had need for them. I slightly Modified one and added some baffle into it. I cleaned the newly built up Deposits. Installed the catch can between the Crankcase Fumes and Coolant heat... 10miles later, Boom! No more Yellowish Milky deposits anywhere. Only deposits is The clear, water looking-Oil smelling liquid sitting inside the catch can.... Perhaps a little too early to call it a viable solution, maybe... But from the way it looks I'm happy with it and I believe this is a permanent fix. Because the deposit that formed just prior to installing the catch can was from less than 5miles of Driving since after I put the engine back together (I don't even drive the car, Only when I take it on test drives).

So If After 10miles I'm able to have a clean system and no more junky deposits, I think its worth celebrating. And the engine actually do run better and feels happier than before.... But, Only time will tell.

Has anyone had this experience or tried this on their 2.7s?

milky deposits are moisture.
if you drive short distances it's normal. especially in winter.
if you drive longer disyances and time then you have a moisture problem.
too much blowby or even small amounts of coolant getting in.

fascinating.
ive been wanting to add a catch can as oil is coming through the PVC valce into my plenum.

back when my car had a 2.7 it used to digest oil by the quart too.. but my intake never had that yellow buildup, is that a flowing substance or more like caked on?

bad news;i own a dodge int./Good nws.I am now a skilled in the shady art of mechanics

im 90% convinced that i have a cam sensor isssue w/ this headache on wheels.(aka 03dodge int.
man i cant help than to get al bundy flashbax.those not familiar wit good 90s style sitcoms,
i recently replaced v.cover gskts and wasnt able to buy the o rings that sell seperately for some reason.(corporate assholes)Q;are the o ringsnot being replaced affect the performance and should i rush to redo a job weelldone lol,.
