Does anybody know the exact fuction of the charcoal canister located below the pcm? And what happens when removed?
It absolutely can be replaced. It may not be the cause of your problem. There are many other parts of the system that could leak and cause that code. To find it exactly, the vacuum system would have to be tested with one of those smoke machines. It could be anything from a hose to leak detection pump, purge solenoid, gas tank hose/leak, etc.Code2medic said:Can the charcoal canister be replaced cause im getting a check engine light for a small evaporator leak.
