Disconnect your battery for 15 minutes and check for codes again. And check again after running it for a bit.

Maybe. FSM says violet/light green and dark blue/grey wires. I was thinking it was up higher, wires come down from above, but maybe you have it.

The sensor should be located on the passenger side and on the bottom (underside) of the bumper brace.
The bumper brace is located directly behind the center of the bumper.
It is a large metal tube that bolts to the end of each frame rail.

The connector is included in the headlight wiring harness that runs from the
driver's side headlight across the bumper brace to the passenger side headlight.

and if the ambient is also called batt temp sensor will it make the batt light come on?
EDIT: found some online info that yes the batt light illuminates to let you know of reduced charging and or risk of battery damage.... true?

If it is NOT there, I'm pretty sure the light will be on.
Pretty easy to pick one up if you have a wrecking yard nearby.

If the connector is gone, too, you'll have to splice that back in.
That should get rid of your light.

Come to think of it, that temp sensor (not being there) may affect other
things in the running of the car because the computer does not know what
the outside temp is. Although, it probably defaults to something like 65 degrees;
which might be ok for Vancouver Island -- lol.
