Anyone?
Ok.I'm not sure if its compatible but I would guess it is but it sounds like sounds like a lot of work. The autostick wouldn't work because the column shift doesn't have the second movement.
You would need the column, the shift cables, the gear shift indicator cable, new carpeting.
Why would you want to do this?
Actually, ignoring the difficulty of the rest of such a project, getting it to shift on command would be the easy part. He could use any momentary switches for the up- and down-shift signals once the shifter (of any type) is one position beyond 'D'....The autostick wouldn't work because the column shift doesn't have the second movement...
You mean just wiring a separate switch somewhere, like paddle shift. That would work, making it attractive might be a bit harder.Actually, ignoring the difficulty of the rest of such a project, getting it to shift on command would be the easy part. What if there was no change whatsoever in appearance of your car? The Puttstick hides under the dash and (when cruise control is turned off and shifter is in A/S or '3' position) uses the Resume/Accel and Coast cruise control buttons for the A/S shifting. That would work, making it attractive might be a bit harder.
That would be the way to do it for sure. Probably the easiest way as well, Very clever.Yes.
