It really makes me sad when I see a trep on the road that is beat to hell. I passed a trep today, comparable to mine in age, prob 95-97, tail light smashed, paint looked like hell, dents all over, no hub caps and the driver side door was bent out of shape. While I understand that accidents happen and repairs cost money, I regularly see cars like ours rode hard and put away wet, and it seems like their owners just don't care. Do they not understand that a well kept trep is one hell of a fine machine???

Sorry, just venting.:(

There are a lot of possibilities as to why these cars are like that. We feel bad because we know how good these cars can be, but, perhaps the current owners got them as "transportation specials", or hand me downs for a new driver. In any case, it is probably better just to "mourn" for the car, and perhaps the driver, too. Since they have only the shell of a great car.
