Cylinder Head Exterior Hardware. Need Help!

278 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  billywoods128
I’m currently in the beginning processes of reassembling my 04 Intrepid 2.7 and I need some help identifying what goes where. My dad went through my work station and messed up all my screws, bolts, brackets, etc. it’s been a genuine nightmare trying to figure it all out from memory. Idk if there are any diagrams available that would help but if you have any, I’d be so grateful! I have access to a PDF copy of the 02 Intrepid FSM if there’s a diagram in there that could help. Thanks for your time!

The following pictures are the driver side cylinder head and the bolts I believe I found the proper locations of:

And finally, this is the collection of bolts, nuts, and brackets I’ve come across that I believe might screw into the outside of the heads:

If any of you guys have a 2.7 in your LH, please if you could try to send me pictures of the sides of your heads, at least just the front and exhaust sides just so I can narrow down my pool of possibilities. Let me know too if you think I’m missing any bolts. I’m sure I’m not the first one to have things get messed up like this and I certainly won’t be the last. Thanks so much for your time!

the bar on the left with the hook and pin are for the intake. its a support. it uses one of those m8 bolts.. #2, #3, #5 going left to right on your bolts. the nut is for something that has a stud sticking out.... #6 is a corse thread. its for plastic. like the front bumper cover? the screw doesnt belong in the engine bay. maybe a plastic cover? the on on the far right may go into the small metal piece with the captive nut... best i can help with rn.

I appreciate the assistance! I’m probably not going to worry about the #6 screw as I suspect your right if it even belongs on the car at all. Thanks so much!
