ok, I've had two previous defective water pumps. One was a brand new Mopar brand water pump for a 96 LHS w/3.5L. It failed the first day. I found that the impeller became loose on the shaft. The second happened on a 02 Trep Police Pkg w/3.5L. That one also came just loose enough to walk backwards and start rubbing on the rear water pump housing. Now I've got a different 02 Cop car w/3.5L which I suspect has the same problem. Has anyone ever drilled and pinned the impeller and shaft on these water pumps?
