Not bad, I learned to drive in a Chvy Chevette, 4dr, diesel, yes diesel There are good diesel cars made now but back then diesel meant slow, noisy and smelly. Both the Gremlin and the Pinto could hand this car it's ass on a platter easily.

Now I remember why I was in such a hurry to get my own car..the diesel sucked!!!!

BTW-my first car that I bought was a 1973 roadrunner, 318, 8-3/4" posi rear, shiftkitted 727TF tranny. This car was a true teenager muscle car, Keystone classic wheels with L60 tires on the rear, slapstick shifter, bulging hood scoops, loud duals and a big ass spoiler on the trunk.

And yes, pintos, gremlins and monzas all kick ass if you drop a V8 in them
True, but unlike the others (except for the Vega) Grem's came from the factory with 304ci V8s rated at 150hp. This started in 1972, and considering the light weight of the Grem, the V8 cars were able to cover 0-60 and 1/4 mile in the same time as the 1st gen 3.5L LH cars. (around 8 seconds and 16.5 seconds respectfully.)

Not too bad eh?
