i took the air restrictor out and installed the k&n racing filter and out it by the wheel well.it seems im getting to my peak hp faster i was getting my peak at like 5600 now it seems like its around 4500 anyone else notice this and i didnt notice much difference in sound when i removed that resrictor.

Most sound difference you're going to notice will be with dropping the whole airbox setup and running a pipe intake. Such as mine short-ram air (which I think every has seen by now), or some other people's setups with their homemade tubes (which, mind you, work perfectly fine).

After I put mine on there was a noticeable sound difference when getting on the gas and punching it at highway speeds. Also, at certain throttle positions it creates a "whistling" effect, similar to that of a turbo, just not without the turbo's power :).

As for max HP, I've never had my car up that high in RPMS, so I don't know what it tops off at.
