"Dodge Petitions for New Nose: Dodge, which has only two victories with the new Charger, has petitioned for a new nose in 2006. Evernham Motorsports, Chip Ganassi Racing and Penske Racing collaborated on the new piece, which resembles the Ford front end but has the old Intrepid center. The nose will be ready this week. It must be submitted by September 1 to be approved for next season by NASCAR.(Sporting News)(8-22-2005)"

They finaly sucked up all the garbage on the track with that garbage truck nose.

I heard that Toyota is giving hand-jobs to the big shots at Nascar for some aerodymanic advantages.

Your just wishing. Toyota will not need any special treatment like Dodge is getting.

Actually the new Charger in testing was quicker than the Intrepid front end. Much quicker. But testing and real-world performance are two different things. They couldn't line up 40 other cars to test with at the same time. So when they went real racing the found the new nose didn't do as well in traffic. Yet in the Busch series with little if any backing Dodge has several wins this season, the best they've done. Go figure.

It does pick up trash as well but last weeks race at Michigan it seemed everybody had problems with trash in their front ends. The worst I ever remember seeing.

As for Toyota, in the Truck series Nascar has done everything possible to make them more competetive. Still not working too well. Though Mike Skinner did win the race at Bristol last night (his first win since 1998, he's a good guy). If it were a 250 lap race instead of 200 it would have been a different story. It looked like either Jack Sprague or Ted Musgrave would have pulled it out. Anyway, I love Bristol. Watch the races this weekend, the cup stuff will be Very interesting and the point race for the chase could change at any tme. You could be be running in the top 10 with 5 laps to go and wind up out the chase on the next lap.

With a little bit of Nascar's love. The first win came at the Toyota sponsored race in Darrell Waltrip's hometown. Now who woulda thunk it?

They're 3rd out 4 in the mfg standings and they've won 2 out of 17 races.
They're ahead of Ford only (who don't have many teams running the past two seasons).

Toyota also has 2 to 3 times the factory support as the other manufacturers
