Started one of these..

So my story goes like this. I bought a 99 Intrepid base with 82,000 miles off of this guy for like $3,200 August of 06. At about 92,000 miles the engine on it goes poop. I still owe a little bit on the ol car, so I decide to put a brand new remanufactured engine in it. Promar engines supplied the replacement 2.7 with a few "upgrades" to prevent the engine from failure. She's now got about 96,000 miles on her, and I've just switched to Pennzoil Platinum full synthetic. Anyways, my little brother decided he wanted the car and so I sold it to him and I bought a nice 2000 Chevy Venture for the wife. We put an OTIS in it, 4 brand new speakers and a head unit, new seats, power sliders for the front, installed the AutoStick, and stopped there for a while. Ok, while the money for my brother continued to accumulate from his job, we decided 2 subs and an amp would be in the works. I custom built this box to fit the trunk. Boy, did it fit. We had to remove the rear seats and slide it into the trunk, then arrange it to fit, and slid it back into place. MDF construction and a section of automotive carpet completed the job. It is bandpass ported into the passenger compartment...yes, i did the zigzag maze thing inside of the box. What a bi----! 2 Alpine E10's and a kenwood amp with a cap. Still gotta figure out why the battery dies after sitting for a day. Probably gonna need an 8 GA wire from the alt to replace the 18 or so that's on there ;) Then, the paint job. We have a body kit on backorder due to arrive in the next week or so. That's why the bumpers and the side kits look like poo.

My other rides.

Eisen's old 92 olds...parted out and waiting for a tow. If anyone needs a good solid 3.3 engine and transmission for this car, let me know.

My wife's Chevy Venture

My Monte Carlo, she's a baby! Just put new rotors, pads and rebuilt the calipers on the Monte today.

Harbor freight rocks! Anyways, I'm not in any of those pictures. The red headed kid is Matt, he's my wife's friend's fiancee. The other guy is my brother Eisen, and the woman is my wife, Lacey. My son is the little boy, and my daughter is the really tiny one. The one my son is holding hands with is Matt's daughter.

Can't wait for the body kit to come in. This car is gonna look awesome!

Toss that capacitor in the trash, they are useless and get an audio battery.

How is yours doing Art? Mine seems to get the job done, and it is the only battery in the car (starting from it and all). I'll know better when I get my whole system in the car though.

I would probably go one size bigger on the battery next time around, but this one will do just fine.

the cap is borderline useful. i hooked up the install with and without the cap and when its not on there the headlights do dim, but the battery didnt die overnight. now that its installed, i have to remember to plug in the car or else it wont turn over.

I had a fairly good capacitor and all the lights danced when the system was pounding. I got rid of it and installed an audio battery and now everything works good.
If you need to plug the car in to keep the battery charged you have a ground or something is still turned on somewhere. The capacitor is just power storage, it doesn't use power on its own.

It lined up very well, i had to drill into the sheet metal on the car to attach the clips, but it went on pretty easily.
