How do you know if you have a bad egr valve.
Does it leak oil around the seal when it's bad?

I also have a EGR valve problem. I have trouble code "32". Do I need to replace the EGR? If so, I know it is on the back side of the motor, but could someone be specific on how to find and swap in a new one? Thanks a lot guys (and girls?).

I have been checking out this great site for months now, but finally got off my "BUTT" to register and join in.

what and where is an egr valve?

I have the 3.5 engine.

The EGR "Exhaust Gas Recirculation" Valve takes unburnt exhaust gases and sends it back into the intake to be burnt up a second time. This lowers your emmisions and cools the combustion chamber temperature.

On the 3.5 motors, it is located under the pass. side throttle body a little closer to the middle of the motor. You can follow the two tubes that are bolted to the back center of each upper intake...then it turns into one tube that is bolted to the EGR valve. Easier to see if you remove the dual air intake hose.
