The GTP is factory rated at 240HP/280TQ at the crank. It's the same old pushrod 3800 V6 that's been around for ages, and it's bulletproof. The supercharger provides a nice broad torque curve, and that's where its advantage is on low end acceleration. Also, for as little as 60 bucks, a smaller pulley can be thrown on the s/c for an additional 3-3.5 PSI of boost netting another 30HP at the wheels and additional torque to go along with it. Stock 1/4 mile times vary from 15.2xx to 14.3xx (very few). I have a factory freak that ran 14.4's consistantly in stock form. As for "alot of mods" to get into 13's, I only have a pulley and exhaust work done as power adders, but I fully expect to run 13's once I get back to a track that I can hook up on! It's either that or I'll wind up getting a smaller pulley and fuel pressure regulator to run 13's here (spinning for 1/8 mile). Or maybe just the Limited slip differential that's coming soon, or the cam that's in the works. That's another thing about GTP's... aftermarket!
As for styling, that's a matter of opinion. You all obviously chose Intrepids for your own reasons, and I respect that. I'm not about to get into a flame war on a Dodge board about who builds better widgets!
Bboucher's stock R/T ran right about 16.00 stock before it loosened up. Now with a few thousand miles on it, I believe his best is a 15.65 and his best trap speed is 90.0MPH. As far as I know, he's the only one with LEGITIMATE times. All you G-Tech'ers need to get out to a strip and let us see some time slips!
