The 03 engine is still the same as it was in 98 except for (as hypnos mentioned) the engine controller. 02, 03, 04, use what known as New Generation Controller, the 3.5 from these years would also work with an engine controller from a 98, 99, 00 and 01 3.5 if you change the engine wiring harness which would be easier than changing the main engine compartment harness. If you use a 3.5 from 98-01 it would be a closer (less work) match to yours. Did you check this thread? http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19649
Well considering there is no such thing as a 98 or 99 R/T and there are NO Intrepids or LH models that are rear wheel drive........NO! But a '99 or '00 300M 3.5L is the same thing. It would be a VERY difficult find to get an R/T engine. R/T was available in VERY limited #'s from '00 - '02 and SXT was available '02 - '03?. A '02 - '04? ES also has the 3.5 and ALL 300M's have the 3.5. Not sure about LHS' but the '02 Concorde LXI's have it. It's a HUGE step up from a 2.7 off of the line although it still bogs down a bit. What it really needs is shorter gearing like an SE has or a manual transmission (that sadly was never available )
Does anyone know where to find a free pdf download of the owner's manual for the 1996 Chrysler Concorde LX 3.3L? I've a hard copy, but would like a digital copy as well. If you know where to find one, please share. Thanks! Rev. D.
I am keeping the concord! This is just our other car. It's 110,000 mile 2003 4.0L WJ. I am trying to find best jeep forum to join - and being Mopar people any advice would be great!
BTW it has a noise at startup that goes away once warmed up a few minutes...
