I have a 96 Intrepid ES and the clearcoat finish on my rims is chipping off, and it looks really bad. Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do to fix this? Get new rims- or get them refinished? If so, how much? Thanks.
i think when i had my mercury cougar i used a product on my wheels that was called wheel restore. i bought it at an auto parts store and it was basicly like a clear coat. it did an ok job. not even sure if they still make it but thought i would mention it.
I had all four of my mustang wheels sandblasted and re-coated with clear, cost a couple hundred for everything but was worth it to have brand new rims again
