Somebody on here told me on here not to bother with a Motorized antenna, that they didnt work very well. This one just screws on.

Has anyone on here installed a motorized antenna to the factory head unit? Was it a big pain in the ass to do? I am not very technical when it comes to installing **** on cars.

I would go with a motorized antenna with one addition. When I changed to an Alpine H/U, it has a controlled output for the antenna, so that it is raised only when I have the radio on, if I am listening to cd's, it stays down. On the factory H/U you could just add a single pole switch, that you turn on when you want to listen to the radio and turn off when listening to cd's or tapes. And if you get a motorized antenna, just clean and lube it with silicone lubricant a couple times a year and it will be fine.

Does anyone know if the integrated antenna in the Concordes are any good? Could we integrate our antenna's somehow?

Of course, that leaves a big hole in the side of our cars from the old antenna location..

Where do they get off calling that thing euro style. Thats complete BS. Most cars in europe have telescoping antennas, or a fixed antenna on the roof. I have only seen that style of antenna in the US.
