I want to get a deeper rumble coming from trep...I was thinking of having the muffler removed and putting in a glasspack...would this make much of a difference? would I lose way too much back pressure? and would it still be able to pass emission tests? my dad keeps telling me that if I dont have a muffler it wont pass, but I'm not sure. I have a 93 3.3

also......I dont want the ricer fart noise either.....just something a little deeper

i just passed emissions with flying colors (car is registered in MD, 98k miles)car was very very clean on the charts, it practically makes its own oxygen...... as long as you dont touch the cats, youll be just fine. have a 40 series flowmaster, its loud, doesnt have that slammed honda civic flatulence sound. sounds like a flowmaster...deep rumble, a little on the raspy growl side under torque (cus its a v6) ...not obnoxious, but my friends tell me they hear the car way before they see it...

If you want a cool looking/sounding glasspack, you should check out Supertrapp. I have one on the back of mine, sounds nothing like a Honda. You can adjust the way it sounds by adding/subtracting discs on the end. That and they're stainless, so they look like a cool tip. Check out their website (www.supertrapp.com) or you can get them from Summit (www.summitracing.com).

get the FLOWMASTER 40 series BBUUTTTT, add a 24" glasspk also. Use both as a combo. I just did that with my 3.5 and wow, it sounds very deep but smooth. I think it sounds a lot better.

You should be able to get a nice Flowmaster and Thrust g/p for like $120 plus installation.

oh yeah, forgot to add...the damn thing has a knack for setting off car alarms...drive past a line of parked vehicles while travelling around 20 MPH, with the throttle tuning the noise to a low rumble,...heh heh heh....
