I want to finally replace my stock setup. 2002 SXT 3.5L.
So there's got to be a combination of resonators and muffler that makes this V6 sound good. V8 like. with out the tinny, raspy, rattle ...

I've read a bunch and it seems like going to a Flowmaster or similar in a crossflow f-body type would be the way to go.. dual Y to single at the front. a transverse mounted single to dual muffler and then dual pipes out either side.

I don't stupid loud, something that makes a good growl at WOT and burbles a bit at the light....

I have a 2004 SXT and found this to work out really well. If your exhaust is set up the same, you should like it.
It goes from duel exhaust and cats down into a reaonator. Then from there back to a muffler than into the last resonator. I simply cut off the muffler and resonator leaving the first one. It is nice and low at idle and screams at WOT. The sound is very unique.
I would say try this since you plan on changing it anyway. Hope this helps.
