Hey Everyone, I'm new to this, and I was wondering if anyone knew any places that does custom work for intrepid body mods, like front ends, if you've seen the fast and the furious, thats the kind of front end I would like to get, or some performance mods, any help would be greatly appreciated, I believe I have a Gen 2 1994 Intrepid 3.3L V6, thanks

I know heh, I spent prolly like 3-4 hours reading a buncha stuff on here tonight, I'm getting an alarm and auto start in mine, I'm also going to post pics if anyone cares to see...just one question, I'm thinking about putting neon in my car and underbody, I like the look of black lights, but do they really work that good in cars, I know I read a post where someone said there weak, but would the street glow ones be any good, if not should I go with Neo-Blue? I'm just trying to .... as its said, make my car look like a Ricer's car... I don't want 2 but I got turned down on my Talon, so I wanna pimp out my intrepid, and put an Apache Super Touring Wing, new rims that I saw at sears, tint the windows and get neon, BTW, you can buy Neon Sub Rings, which go around your subs *not sure if your aware of that* I wanna get more Horses but I don't know of any good mods for that, any recomendations?? I'm going to change my air filter over to a K&N but I don't know if thats worth the money to invest for the performance, I know alot of you guys (and gals) prolly have them, could you tell me some specs or if it makes a difference? I know I'm blabing but I wanna make sure I get all my questions out now so that I can get some responses within a week I plan to do the neon OR the air filter.... I'm going to have 150 bucks to spend so I'm needing some Recomendations, I have the sound system covered, just need Performace and Looks now.... I think thats all I'll be waiting for a response, thanks guys ( and gals)

Oh 2 things I completely forgot about, Thanks Bryan for the mod thing, I was hoping for more but maybe some day someone will open a shop for custom mods for AMERICAN cars.. and pimped, those red panels in your car, did those come with it or did u custom paint those? mines all grey, its really boring, thnx

i custom (if you wanna call spraypaint custom ) painted those panels. if i were you i wouldnt spend money on K&N drop in filters. they are pretty worthless as far as performance goes, and since the fibers in the filter are further apart than others it lets more dirt in....and for the neons go neo-blue instead of blacklight

I think a lot of people are gonna disagree with you on this one....

Coolio, looks like I'm going to need to go get some spraypaint 2morrow btw, the cost doesn't bother me, I care about performance... I've blown a stock (I think) mustang out of the water, I wish to continue doing that...so any performance mods would rock, and I refuse to pay 400 bucks for a chip that won't give me more than 10 HP, not worth it in my eyes..

Intrepids have 161 hp stock... whats the best any of you guys have seen without major mods...

i realize....i was just stating that from my experince and every single one of my friends that have used their drop ins, i just dont see any way that a simple drop in filter could improve performance any. And even if it did, it wouldnt be anything that you would notice that would make it worth $40.

I am aware that this will start a "heated" argument and i apologize, but there isnt anything anyone can say that will make me think differently than i have experienced.

Assuming that there is no performance gain using a K&N filter; are you saying that a 1 Million mile warranty on the filter doesn't make it worth $40?

I agree with Pimped. If your gonna bother to get a good filter,and spend the money, why not go with a cone filter, so you get significantly better airflow. The drop-ins are easy, and the warranty is sweet, but still, if your gonna do it, do it right! Everyone thinks "If I get a K&N, I will get lots more performance" but a drop-in filter will do very little. Obviously the drop-ins will give you better efficiency and a negligible amount of power increase, but since the stock airbox doesn't have the greatest airflow anyays, it won't do a hell of a lot without going to an open air cone filter.

pimped3point3: I got all the panels off in my car that I'm going to paint except for the door handle, I removed the screw behind the handle but it still wouldn't give, or is it another annoying clip? I'm going to be painting all of mine Royal Blue, and my front speaker grills the same, I'll post pics when its all Done (hopefully 2morrow or the day after)

Djnrg: I'm thinking I might pick up one of those cone filters like u said, whats the price of those and is that an easy change over??

I've decided I'm going to go with a complete new stereo system, so if anyone wants to buy my stuff I'm selling it...
I've got Pioneer TS-A6975 220w Max 6x9's brand new, Rockford fosgate 360a amp, 2 12" Rockford HE2's in a sealed box, and an alpine head unit... head unit is kinda old and the forward button has to be pushed down, but you can pick (or I can) up a remote for it which is really nice, it has a tilt face... well if you want to buy any of it or all of it (I'll sell all of it 2gether for 700 bucks) my email [email protected]

Nod, but I don't think my car will be ready by the time that rolls around... with Valentines day, plus gotta make my car payment..... its going to be a couple months before its completely finished... Prolly one MAJOR mod each month, and minor mods all the time... and I'm a perfectionist, I don't like to show my shtuff till its complete, but it should be lookin good by the time the next one comes around, which reminds me, can I go to a mitsubishi dealership and pick up a chrome Spyder logo to replace my Dodge on on the back of my Trep?? If so that would be Sweet!

I'm not sure i would call K&N filters worthless. They flow a hell of a lot more air than those stock paper filters. And even if the fiber are farther apart(?), the oil in the filter stops anything from getting past.
