I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the specs on the factory cd players for 2000 model intrepids. my boyfriend has a cd player in his car that has input RCA adaptors and output RCA adaptors. i have an ipod and i want to run input RCA adaptors into my factory cd player and was just wondering if that was possible. if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

No, you can't have an input on the factory CD player. The only way you'll be able to do that with an Ipod and the factory CD player is to get an fm modulator for the Ipod and tune into the radio station on your factory head unit.

If you DON'T have a CD changer compatible unit, this is probably the only way to go if you don't want to change stereos.

An accessory company called PIE actually makes an AUX input adapter for Chrysler OEM radio systems that have CD changer controls. You will maintain CD changer functionality as well if you have one...
