Okay, I have two Chrysler Radios that the buttons are driving me insane! I bought a single Cd tape deck from a 95 Vision a while back. The buttons began to quit working and if they did work it would do something other than what you pressed. Now my factory six disc changer radio from a 97 Concorde is acting the same way.

I found a site today... http://www.shareamemory.com/radio/ their eBay site claims to have a DIY fix for the button issues also. http://cgi.ebay.com/BLANK-RADIO-DISPLAY-REPAIR-Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge_W0QQitemZ9737654472QQihZ008QQcategoryZ64577QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Should I take the risk and pay the $20 for the DIY info? It would be nice to get both radios fixed cheaply. My main radio is the six disc changer and I also have plans for the single disc player if I get it fixed too.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I could just be the buttons are dirty. I'd take the front of the radio off and clean the contacts, solder joints and stuff with electrical contact cleaner.

I have a few Delco radios that did that, after a good cleaning they work decent now.

If the buttons are indeed bad, you can just get a few cheap junkyard radios and swap buttons.

I did do a search before I posted this and found some information on the button problem. It sounds like it's a resistor problem.

I'm wondering if I should go ahead and pay the money to see exactly which ones are going bad and see what he recommends putting back into it. I'd also like to see the pictures that this guy says he has if you pay the $20 on his site.

I'd try the resistor first, those are a few pennies, not $20.00.

I'm also curious on how this turns out. I have a 1995 Infinity IV CD player that's display is shot and needs a few other things.

Well, I finally got a chance to tear into it somewhat the other day. I'm not too sure what to do. I had one screw that didn't want to come out that is keeping me from getting farther into the CD player. I also noticed that I have the bass slider broken off. It must have gotten hit while it was in storage. So, unless I can get my hands on a parts radio to steal the slider from, I may give up hope on this one. I might try to glue the slider back on and solder the wires for the little amber light back in place to make it work, that is if I can find the slider button.

Anyway, I do have pics but it's too late tonight. I'll get them posted hopefully before the weekend.
