One of the guys here at work has a hardwired factory radar detector in his Ford Ranger...has anyone else ever heard of this before, and if so, does Dodge offer it as well?
Exactly. It's enough that they will sell you a car that will do 150 or 175 mph but I am sure the automakers have no interest what so ever in selling you a car equipped with a device whose sole purpose is to help you get away with speeding. I'd bet all I have that neither Ford nor Chrysler nor anyone else offers a factory installed radar detector. The guy with the Ford Ranger just has a very nicely installed aftermarket unit.[email protected] said:I highly doubt any make offers a radar detector as an option, it just seems like too much of a liability to them. I can imagine someone winning a lawsuit because their radar detector made them feel comfortable driving at a higher rate of speed, but then they get into an accident and kill their loved ones. I can see a very win-able case there.
