I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and some of the fondest memories of my short, 16 year old life are from Hales Corners Speedway. I helped out with my brother on a "pit crew" when I was 12, and I started to actually help 2 years ago. Hales Corners Speedway will be torn down after some 4 generations of race fans watched their favorite Modifieds, Late Models, Sportsmen, and 'Hales Whales' cars literally made them go deaf with the engines. I lost hearing in my left ear last year. Ok, maybe not, but I still remember watching the immortals race here. More then once has Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, and Dick Trickle raced at Hales Corners before you all knew them on the Winston Cup, which, sad to say, is departing too, now, for a piece of **** I like to call Nextel. You can find out more about this storied clay oval at www.halescornersspeedway.com
