OK. Finally took the Monte to MIR. I will never take it to the track again without the slicks on. I was right about it being slower than the Chrysler in the 60' and being much faster overall.

My new buddy LeadFootLee posted my table below.

(I will work on the code and try to edit.)

So much wheelspin occurred that I have no clue what a valid ET would be. I am guessing 14.35 with slicks. Another weird thing happened. This car is crap to launch. Ever time I would power brake it preparing for launch it would sound great for 1/2 second and then sound like you pulled 100 horsepower out of the motor. On my first run the car lost power badly about 10 feet out and within a tenth or two was back at full power.

Talk to me folks. Tell me what you think. I see very easily this car at 13.99 with minor mods. I can't bracket race it until it gets more consistant though.

PITA! If I ever retire the M and run this full time an LSD and slicks would be required!

Well done Don, how bad was the torque steer ?

That's not a bad time. Is there a differential upgrade for the Monte like the SRT-4 Neon ?

That would help you hook it up better.

Virtually no torque steer.

Yeah, Quaife makes one for $1500

Ouch!

Ooh, I knew they could be pricey. Maybe that's why some of the guys waited for the 2nd year of the SRT-4 because it came with it. Are you going to get one ?

Good stock times,(especially run 2) Don.
