OK, I finally have evidence that the server is the problem with these forums going down every night!

I installed an Ikonboard on this same server to see if it would work. It worked most of the day, but then when these forums went down, it stopped working as well!! Luckily it gave me more detailed errors than this board.

It seems that for some reason, at night, my account says that I am exceeding my quota (even though I am not) and when these boards try to write data to the database, it is not allowed, and those files get corrupted (causing the blank screens).

I just sent my ISP an e-mail with the error so they can correct the problem. If they cannot fix it within a week, I will demand a refund or dispute the charge with my credit card company and move to a better host.

Again, I appologize for the inconvience, but ask that you hang in there for just a little while longer

Actually, yesterday/last night I got a "These boards are down for maintenance" screen; instead of a blank one. Something different, but just letting you know what I saw.

Quota? On the boards or your ISP? what Quota would they put on you? how many incoming connections/hits a day? i find that kind of odd, who is yer ISP?

I actually set that page after the forums went blank for the first time. Just so it would look a little more professional.

Thrasher, I believe the quota error that I am getting is tied to the 200MB of space I am supposed to have on this server. My account includes 200MB of space, but unlimited bandwidth.

Hope this gets figured out soon, I know what a pain it is to move servers.

Well, my ISP is looking into the problem. It looks like they were doing something, becasue I was unable to get here for a few minutes earlier, and all the "active topics" for today have cleared It's a small price to pay if it gets these forums to stop going down everynight.

I'll be at school till about 9:30cst, so if anyone notices what time they go down (if they go down) I'd appreciate the info

My ISP thinks they fixed the problem. So far, it looks like they may have, but let's give it a little more time before we start to celibrate Anyways, thanks for hanging in there the past few weeks with the nightly outages
