See this thread if you want some background to my issue: http://www.dodgeintrepid.net/showthread.php?t=474810

TL;DR - car stops after a long drive on the interstate when I take an exit and come to a stop - starts up right after.

I already replaced cam and crankshaft sensor.

So the next step was to clean the MAP sensor. Upon removing it I noticed this. Not sure if it's gunk or oil.

&

If it's oil... I'm screwed?

After cleaning it with MAF sensor cleaner it looked like this.

&

Should I replace it? It looks like it wouldn't do what it's intended to do.

The MAP sensor has two basic functions..

To establish a barometric bench that the PCM uses to start the engine and then provide regular feedback to adjust fuel delivery. I wouldn't recommend "Cleaning" this sensor. Just replace it if it reads inaccurately.
why no clean with denatured alcohol ???? Built up oil/gunk does not affect the sensor's function?

I think that pretty much answers it... The sensor does not draw any air into it so, no build up of gunk should affect it. Unless, the port was blocked off I'd think.
So it's safe to say I can continue to use this one?

I'm removing the TB today/weekend to clean that and the IAC. Hopefully I can get this damn stalling at a stop to quit happening.
