Do the fuel injector cleaners that you add to a full tank of gas actually work? If not is there any way to clean the injectors, if it is even necessary?

hey i bought some stp full fuel system cleaner, ther is a slight change in everything but nothing too drastic, it was worth 7 bucks to get it

i've used STP, gumout, and sea foam all as fuel additives. i would avoid gumout at all costs, when i ran a tank of it, my car seemed sluggish and unresponsive, especially in the cold.

if you do use bottled additives, pour the cleaner in the tank BEFORE you fill it up. that way when you fill up the tank it mixes better and it washes traces of the additive down the filler tube.

I use it too it dont do much but its good for the engine and mabe adds a little HP

I use Red Line brand injector cleaner at every oil change. The car feels pretty peppy with it.

Go to your dealership, they clean injectors for $50, here in Canada. It really helps, my emissions were halved.

I used some of that STP stuff and noticed a little differnece.
