Ok this is gonna be a fun thread.

Who here has the balls to admit that they got killed by someone and what car did they get killed by? Lets face it we don't have the fastest car in the world. :)

I havent gotten killed yet.... I toyed around with people on the road :), but never raced anyone straight up.

-old rusty brown tornado. this is funny. i thought i would pop in front of him off a green and make a left turn at the next light. well, it went green and i punched it, he quickly passed me up. at the next light i asked him what he was running, he said a 396. ****, that's why i lost. i dropped in behind him where i belong... :(

you guys are making me miss my last two cars.

#1 my SHO which I traded in on the 'Trep, reworked intake, throttle body, MAF etc

and #2 my 89 5.0 mustang LX, this car was well over 300HP, plus had the gears done, I raced a twin turbo stealth and slightly modified Grand national with this car and was dead even with both.

Sigh, it's tough not to be the king of the hill anymore...I must be getting old.

well look at the bright side, maybe this is what I needed to kick my ass in gear and finish my L_Intake!!!

I always wanted a GTI, but now that I am a family man and we can't really afford a second car right now, no go.

As for losing...not yet, and that is the dead honest truth. Well, except for the cop that gave me a dirty look when I was revving beside him. :)

From 20mph on up if you punch it, she hunkers down, and this really nasty snarl/howl that I can not even describe comes from the intake and exhaust and it sounds exactly like a turbo spooling up and letting off at the gear shifts. (Short intake runners I'm hearing I'm guessing.)

This is going to sound like a pile o' BS, but I've laid strips of rubber while punching it from about 20mph. Scared the **** out of me, my wife and the mullett-head in the 80's Camaro beside us.

Warlord, I read your post, I also swore that
this VW homey had NOS due to the rapid acceleration...

My boss is a VW fan, he owns a Bettle, so he was smirkin all the way! I would love one
but they have rice tendancies plus I love
the relaxin feel of my `corde of which I wouldnt get with a VW, but hey, summer car!
Or push wife into one... thats why we get married dont ya know! :)

Had a 2001 Maxima get about 1/2 and length on me. I'm pretty sure it was a 5 speed, he seemed to shift alot sooner than me. I think if I get a chip or an intake, I could take him no prob though.

Also had a 1998 Riveria with the 3.8 SC get a small lead up to 60 mph. We were neck and neck until about 53.

Not that bad though for a 150k mile Concorde though.

Thats all a dream for me. Actually I'm planning on gettin a new LX car when they come out and saving the Concorde for a sleeper. The ZF transmissions they were testing for the 300M SE could take high HP like that. The current ones can't. This of course shatters my dreams of a 300 hp Concorde. But lets say you take a regular 2nd gen 3.5L, rebuild the engine including larger valves and higher compression, 300 hp would be a peice of cake. Take that 300 hp monster attach it to a custom bell housing that in linked to a borg warner T6. Use any rear end of your chosing and adapt the rear suspension off a prowler into your LH (this of course would require a gas tank relocation). And viola!!! a RWD 300 hp 6 speed Concorde. But as far as using the first gen 3.5L, I think 250 hp will be the max output with bolt on performance.
