I don't have a key for my glove box, and I really want to lock it, because the trunk release switch is enabled even with the ignition key removed.

Second, my ignition key doesn't always work when I try to go to ACC position. A duplicate key does the same thing, and even doesn't work in the passenger door lock.

So, essentially I'd like to get some keys made for the car, BUT NOT FROM the key I currently have.

Do I have to go tothe dealer to get the keys made, or can a locksmith do it from the VIN?

You shoul be able to get keys made from VIN at dealer...but try right away before paying. Tell them u want to try it incase it doesn't work right...bad experiences. Then go from there to make sure it's not just the key but possibly the cylinder may be worn as well.
