I was coming home from a workshop last week when this Thunderbird pulls up next to me. I didn't think too much about it, I just wanted to get home. The light turned green, and I gave it about 1/2 throttle. Damn T-Bird driver tried to pass me! So I just kept going up to the limit (50MPH at that point) and he was about 1/2 car length behind. I shut down and he flew by. Funny thing was, I caught up with him at the next light and he did his best to ignore me. The guy did have a woman in the car with him, so I think that he was embarrassed that he had to work to pass the "old man family car."
Oh, saw a black R/T today parked in a lot. I think that I still like the ES -- just for pure creature comforts.

I would have to say that the SC was not trying. I have both an SC and an Intrepid, and there is no way that any Intrepid will be it. Granted it does has minor mods but even with a stock SC mid 14's are attainable.

As an ex-T-Bird enthusiast, i'll tell you there is now way in hades an SC will hit mid 14s stock, the ABSOLTE best i've seenis very low 15s, most running mid/high 15s. those cars are SUPER heavy and it really shows. BUT, they are probably the only Ford i would even consder wning had 2 t-birds already), but make mine a 95 please.

Yeah, those T-Bird SCs aren't that fast, but they're quick compared to my bros' (Stew) old 5.0 Bird, that was a slow car!!!!! They're as bad as Mustang GTs for backing down or trying to cheat when racing though!
