just got a quick question about the headlight delays... i know that if you turn off the lights they stay on for 90 seconds. But I've also noticed that if you leave your parking lights on they will shut off in about 10 minutes or so then will turn back on when you open the door. I was just wondering if your headlights will shut off after 10 minutes too if you leave them on? I always was gonna try, but have never got around to it so i figured i'd just ask on here.

J/K, Yea well atlease mine cuts off after about 10min... I did it at the mall, and Time i opened the door came on the lights.... I think it's a great idea, making the lights cut off if left on. every car should have that feature..........

on the first gens if you turn the motor off and then the lights (headlamps or parking) they stay on for 90 seconds. however, if during this time you turn them on again and then quickly off they turn off completely. if i'm not mistaken the 2nd gens (my experience is in a 2001 3.2 concorde lxi, nice ride) have an identical feature.

yeah, the 2nd gen does that too. When I first got the car, I wasn't paying attention to the times I turned off my headlights after I turned off my ignition and wondered if my headlight relays were sticking. I have a question though... is the purpose of this system to shine light down a long driveway to give you a chance to get into your house?

What I do is just turn off my lights before the ignition and walah, no headlight delay. I'm in the habit of it now so much that I don't even have to think about it. My hand hits the lights and the puts the windows up before I hit the ignition every time. It's amazing what you can train those things to do. :D

I have a ritual when turning on and off the car that I do without even thinking about it too. I turn my headlights on all the time without thinking about it (mainly because the cpu fans cooling off my LED tail-lights come on with the parking lights) and same with turning them off. I too have a habit with the windows. I'm also paranoid about any headlights, fog lights, parking lights, or brake lights not working so I check them about once a week or so... just whenever I think about it.
