Hello to all out there, have been keeping an eye on the site for a while, and now that I have joined the ranks as an Intrepid owner, I figured it was time to go all the way and join up. RIP 99 Neon. 
Anyway..I have an ES loaded with everything but the top line stereo and leather, way to cold here for that. I may have an oppertunity to have the stereo head unit swapped out for the cassette/4disc unit for about the same as the factory build uplift. I already have the 9 speaker setup. The dealership has a destroyed 02 ES, and I may have talked them into doing the swap.
My big question is in order to get the steering wheel audio controls, do I need a new steering wheel? I am getting conflicting info, depending upon whom I talk to. I would think that the pods should just attach to the existing wheel, especially since a new wheel is $545.00. Anyone gone thru this before?
