I am wondering what kind of modifications it would take to swap a '98 3.2 (EGW) out of a Concorde into a 2001 LHS with a blown 3.5HO (EGG). I don't really want to tear the 3.5 down to fix it, so I'm wondering how easy it would be to swap the complete cradle with the engine and transmission remaining together. If anyone has any info on this type of swap or has done it themselves, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The cradle and engine from the concorde would bolt right up to the LHS.
The 3.2 might have one extra power steering fluid sensor that the LHS does not have.
I think they deleted this sensor in 2000 or 2001.
I would suggest swapping the engine harness from the 3.5 onto the 3.2
and then plug everything in.

When I had access to a forklift, I did several engine swaps by removing the cradle.
It's a great way to get the engine out in the open where you can work on it.

Direct swap in, bolt in, plug and play. If the 3.2 has the power steering sensor that TGS mentions, dont worry about it, the 2001 LHS PCM will not pick it up. You could take the entire front suspension, cradle, engine/trans assembly and bolt it right into the LHS if you wanted to.

You wont have to change any harnesses or anything. Just be sure the LHS has EGR...some later 2001 models did not have it. If it does not its no big deal, but you'll have to make some additional changes.

Thanks for the info guys. This was too good of a deal for me to pass up: I'm going to swap the two cradles and give the concorde with the 3.5 in it back to the scrap guys I got it from and all I have to pay is $200. This LHS is dark green with a mint black interior, outside's probably a 7 out of 10. My concorde body is about junk from damage and is now getting some rust. The best part is that it has a clear title too.
