One of the other sites I belong to may be of some interest to some types here.

www.eng-tips.com has mega forums dedicated to all types of engineering.

I frequent alot of different forums there that are pertinent to my work but I think the most relevant to this site are:
- Engine and Fuel Engineering
- Transmission and Driveline Engineering
- Automotive Body Engineering
- Automotive Suspension Engineering
- Automotive Engineering - Other topics

I bring this up because I've seen a few (just a few) mirrored threads here, where basically the same conversation is taking place but from different perspectives. One in particular was the talk on using nitrogen to fill your tires. Holy Shizzle that subject was analyzed to death. Yes, engineers will spoil your belief in Santa too with talk about global surface area, accel / decel factors, thermal degradation of a reindeer's nose vs air friction.

But... there's alot of really good info for someone inclined to find it.

PS- I've never seen a single instance of flaming there (so behave !)

Fantastic discussions! :bigok:
I've spent less than a minute browsing the forums there and I'm hooked, deep!
One drawback is I may be spending less time here though!

Thanks for sharing cdn r/t!
