The ES just passed 250,000 miles on the odometer. (High)

Right rear tire sprung a leak. Found a brass key embedded 1.5" through the tread. I'm 25 miles from home and car-pooling two 9 year olds to/from dance class. Wife is out of town, so I have few options about getting the kids home. (Very Low)

Miracle of miracles, the mini-spare actually holds air. I can limp home without the indignity (and cost) of a tow. (High ((relatively)))

New tire's going to run me $65, plus mounting and balancing, plus tax. (Low)

But Sam's Club is actually open on Sunday, and they can get me a replacement tire in an hour. (High (again, relatively))

And, since I bought the original tire at Sam's, they include a "road hazard" warranty. (High)

Yeah, but the warranty is pro-rated, and the tires are a year old. (Low)

Surprise, Surprise, Surprise...the treadwear is so low that the warranty covers 77% of the cost of the tire, plus the mounting, valve stem, and balance.

I put 52,000 miles on the tire, and paid a total of $13.99 to have it replaced!

Now, if only they could reimburse me for the $160 I lost at the Casino while waiting for the Dance Class to end....

I think a key is too big to plug/patch.

I got something in my right rear tire too :(..........my EVIC + shows the PSI going down every day in both the front drivers and the rear passenger. Front drivers is due to the rim missing a large chunk of chrome on the back side of the wheel :(
