I am curious to hear what you guys got your R/T's for.

Sticker price on my 2001 R/T (bought in Jan of 2001 and took delivery on Feb 3rd,2001) was $29,530.00. I got it for 24,500 due to an employee discount. I will say that for that price I would look at the 300M or for a little more the 300M Special.

BK, you mentioned an employee discount. Is it the "$100 under invoice" deal. That is what I was offered when I was looking at a new Dakota R/T last year. If so, what is the invoice price on this Intrepid R/T??

I almost bought a Black 01' R/T for $24,500 (Everything but leather) here in California (Bay Area). Another dealer wanted $30,000 for a silver 02' R/T I looked at. I think I could have got it for $27,000 but the payments would have sucked. Unfortunately I ended up getting an 02' SE 2.7L for better fuel mileage and insurance purposes.

Take care guys....

My 2000 R/T listed for $25,898. I payed $18,912. In my Consumer Guide book that lists 2002 Invoice prices. $24,559 and $625 for destination charge, Leather trim $589, radio Infinity $345,sunroof $823, did not list the cold weather or full size spare PGK. A total of $26,941 then add the other two not listed for $27,366 grand total.

Just for your info, my 2001 R/T listed for $34,695.00 Canadian. The full size spare, my only missing option was another $200.00, bringing the total to $34,895.00 for a fully loaded Canadian RT.
I leased mine so I don't really care too much what the price would have been cash.
Sounds like alot, and it is, but at 62 cents to the US dollar, could be a bargain for all those south of the border.

If I'm not mistaken, we here in Canada have the cold weather group included in the base price.

Viprman-the dealer invoice on the window when it arrived said 29,530 (not including taxes, tags etc). The employee purchase price (EPP) was 26,000 and then I got the $1500.00 rebate that was being offered at the time which dropped it to 24,500. The EPP price cuts out the dealer markup on the car but the dealer also has the option of not selling the car and trying to make a profit on the car.

Viprman- The invoice price (base started at 24,975.00). I added the 25S package added at 1815.00, remote/illuminated Entry group at 225.00, radio 575.00, moonroof 895.00 and spare tire at 225.00. Hope this helps.

How much ya ask? Everyone else is including taxes and destination charges, the out the door price. What did I pay? Uh, well, uhm, er .... ya see I had to pay shipping via commercial ship from CA to HI, then on to Guam. That's on top of the destination to CA. So, I paid a lot more than you guys did! If I wanted this, or any, car special ordered then I had to pay the price. Thank goodness my darling wife is such an understanding lady, huh? If she were the type to say "you could just buy a Corolla off the lot", I'd have had a tough time getting my R/T, eh?

My 2000 listed for $26,520. Included the Driver Convenience Group (8 Way power seat, keyless entry, and illuminated entry), and power moonroof. Leather and side airbags was not available.

I paid $20,420, included a $3,000 rebate, $400 college grad/grad student rebate. Dealer came down $2,700 off list. This does not include my credit card rebate.

I agree, I would get a 300M for that price range, they will be much easier to shop across dealerships, as they are all very similar.

I would look at the new Intrepid SXT, list price of $23,999.

I dunno... for the money I think you would be better off getting a 2001 R/T instead of 2002. There are some things like steering wheel radio controls, and passenger power seat that was left out on the 2002 R/T along with a few other things.
