Amp Location
In the trunk, on the driver's side*, mounted on a side wall behind the carpet.

*I have heard cases where its been mounted on the passenger's side. But in most cases it should be on the driver's side.

Connecting an Amp to Aftermarket Speakers, using Stock Wiring
1. Connect the Door Speaker Wires to the new aftermarket speakers. They do make harnesses to connect to the stock ones.

2. Connect the wires going to the Output Connector to Speakers* (for the desired speakers) to the outputs on the aftermarket amp.

3. If you will not be using the stock amplifer to power the other speakers (the ones your aren't hooking up the new amp), disonnect the power connector to the amp. Tape off the end.

*Once you cut the wires you will have 2 sets. One going to the amp, and the other going to the speakers. Use the one going to the speakers.

Connecting a Headunit Amp to Aftermarket Speakers
If you install aftermarket speakers in-place of the stock midranges, and use the stock wires, they will onlly output low end freqencys. The only way to fix this is to hook them up to a different amp. The infinity system uses the same headunit as the non-infinity system, so it has an internal amp that you can use. This will also work if you have an aftermarket headunit with an internal amp (almost all do).

1. Connect the wires going to the Output Connector to Speakers* (for the desired speakers) to the wires going to the Input Connector from Headunit¹ (again, for the desired speakers).

*Once you cut the wires you will have 2 sets. One going to the stock amp, and the other going to the speakers. Use the set going to the speakers.

¹Again, once you cut the wires you will have 2 sets. One going to the stock amp, and the other going to the headunit. Use the set going to the headunit.
