My sister-in-law owns a Dodge Trep with fuel injected 3.3. I just replaced the fuel filter (because the car would no longer run with the old one). I am assuming this would be just like running it out of gas. I have never done this with EFI. Is there something special I need to do to restart the engine?

just because it won't fire, doesn't mean that the filter is preventing it. could be a lot of possible problems

there's a nipple on the fuel rail that you can attach a fuel pressure gauge to. if i recall, i believe it's 50psi that should be present at the rail with the fuel pump active. you should be able to get it to start with just a few cranks. once you key up the ignition, you should hear the pump engage and you should be all set. once you very there's fuel present, the next thing to check for is spark.
