Just got my Intrepid this morning and started looking for toys for it when I found this site. My new baby is a 2002 Intrepid ES, 3.5L, blue with chrome wheels. This is the second mopar I've owned, the first being a '73 Dart Sport with a beefed 340. Car has 61K miles and we picked it up for $8k.
Anyhoo, I'll be lurking around and maybe poping a question here and there, and if someone is real desperate an answer.

Welcome aboard! That sounds like a great deal. Do you have any pics of your new "pride and joy"?

You're going to be pleasantly surprised at how helpful this site is. Collectively, we know more about these cars than the dealerships do. Seriously. Enjoy it's vast knowledge and enjoy your new FAST BADASS family sedan. Welcome.

Thanks for the welcome all. No pics yet, it snowed last night and the car is all grunged up right now. I'll have some in a few days.
I'm kind of shocked by all the mods some folks have done to their Intrepids, more suprised at the following it seems to have. I'm a happy camper to have found this place.

Was out of a 68 dart sport. Was around 400 hp when all was said and done. I wish I still had a pic of it. All black with very small red pistripes. Just by looking at it you'd think it was a granny car, it had Plymouth hubcaps, only the dual exhaust and the whir of the gear drive told anything about what was really going on. It was bored .60 over, phat crane cam, hookers, polished heads, gear drive, edelbrock intake with a 1050 street dominator carb. Kind of a hodge podge of things, I was 17 when I built it. It also had a 12 speaker stereo...LOL..stupid kids!

very nice.....mine doesnt quite look like a granny car it has the 73 dual snorkel hood scoop, purple shaft ca, dynomax coated headers, 650 double pumper on an edelbrock intake, and X heads...but no radio as of yet...don't need that to go fast :) and i'm only 18...now i need two weld pro stars for the back, i have 2 for the front, i need some 15x8s for the back...i'm in the process of saving for some Aerohead heads already ported or for some Indy aluminums, probably going to go with aluminum heads, save the weight and gain more power
