I was curious about changing the color of the lights in the HVAC controls a while back. After a few weeks now I noticed that the right side of it is dead at night, while the left is perfectly lit up.

I'm gonna wait until I can get it to my shop 80 over Thanksgiving to dissasemble the whole thing to see if I can swap out those bulbs for new ones. Or maybe I can cut a deal with one of the local service guys @ Dodge.

the same thing has recently happend to my spedometer. the left side lights up fine and the right side is really dim, its just on the spedometer not any other guages...any ideas?

Well, next I'm thinking when I have a day off I'll remove the whole unit and take it apart again. I only had the buttons and the face-plate off, so next is getting off the light-distribution plate (the big piece of 1/8" plastic that covers the lights).

Then if I can get the bulbs out, change them.

As for the cluster, that's another story. That requires removal of a good portion of the dash, but I would assume it be the same idea as above, to get at the bulbs to change them.

i've taken my controls out save your self some time.. don't bother tryin to get the bulbs out from the front.. it won't work..
ya gotta unscrew the board from the back and take the whole monkey lovin thing apart..
