i agree pics are very deceiving, its really better if you can see stuff in person. A friend of ours bought a car being sold locally and the seller "forgot" to mention the car has not been run in the last year and it ran perfectly the last time he drove it (1 yr prior to sale) of course the car would not turn over.jfsram said:I don't know where you bought your car Vertigo but Ebay deals are not always what they seem to be. I buy and sell on Ebay and buying is sometimes a dissapointment. That's only on old car parts. I can't imagine "clicking" 1/2 a year's pay on something I've not seen in person.
The seller's idea of MINT may not be your idea of mint condition.
Even local deals are slightly risky. For example when I bought my LHS 7 years ago. There were some private deals about $1500 cheaper but handing over cash in a driveway was not as confidence inspiring as writing up a sales contract at a Chrysler used car dealer.
